Yuma Cabana Motel is doing things to make your lodging experience more environmentally friendly. Once again, the Yuma Cabana leads the hotels and motels, as we are the first in implementing eco-friendly concepts in Yuma, Arizona. Our "green plan" is two-fold: (1) It requires that we, as an institution, act responsibly to protect the environment; and (2) it requires our guests to participate! This means you too have a responsibility to do what you can to help us meet our goals. Below are some eco-friendly efforts already in place.
We have converted our swimming pool to an eco-friendly saltwater based conversion system whereby salt is converted to chlorine without the use of expensive and harsh chemicals. After swimming, your skin feels soft and odor free, instead of very dry and smelling like chlorine.
Yuma Cabana only uses fluorescent bulbs in the room, in the lobby and in the hallways. We request that our guests pay attention to turning lights on only when necessary and turning them off when they leave.
We have installed a large recycle bin at the back of our property so we can recycle paper, plastic and cans. Our staff is responsible for separating recycling from trash. Please help us keep trash separate from recycling.
We ask each guest to re-use linens when possible, much like you do at home. Place the linens that need washing on the floor, but the ones that you can use again, please hang up.
We offer premium soap and shampoo through state-of-the-art dispensers in the rooms. Please make a choice to use those, instead of the individual amenities we also offer (as required by AAA).
